Matrixyl : the ultimate anti-aging ingredient

A few weeks ago we talked about hyaluronic acid and all its benefits for the skin! Today it's Matrixyl's turn to be highlighted!

If you also want to know what you apply on your skin, or simply out of curiosity, keep reading. :)

WHAT IS MATRIXYL?

Unlike hyaluronic acid which is naturally present in our body and especially in the skin, MATRIXYL is the brand name of a synthetically produced anti-aging peptide.

Peptides are made up of amino acids and can be considered the "building blocks" of our skin. They help our cells produce more collagen!

As we explained in our last article on Hyaluronic Acid, our collagen levels start to decrease by about 1% per year in our mid-twenties. This is where Matrixyl comes in, cleverly mimicking the behavior of our natural cells (called matrikines) and working to mimic their effects.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MATRIXYL FOR THE SKIN?

In addition to stimulating the growth of new collagen, Matrixyl also stimulates the production of hyaluronic acid, resulting in fewer fine lines, plumper, younger-looking skin!

In short, you will have understood that Matrixyl, although synthetically produced, is one of the best anti-aging ingredients by imitating our natural cells that lose effectiveness over time!

Our products enriched with Matrixyl

The good news is that at That'so, all our formulas are designed to be enriched with the best ingredients for your skin! So it's no surprise that most of our self-tanners are enriched with Matrixyl.

You will find it in our famous anti-aging tanner, Golden Age, but not only! You can also find Matrixyl in our iconic On The Go (Dark, Clear, Hemp and Extra Dark), as well as in our HD Tan, Nature Tan Light and Instinct Man Light!

Have you added a Matrixyl-enriched serum or cream to your routine? We're curious to know!
